Self-Awareness

The idea that the omnipotent God once destroyed Himself, and thus creating the universe, is based on the idea that He was self-aware of His omnipotent being. His consciousness granted Him His self-awareness. If we assume that our consciousness is the unique characteristic of mankind that gives us the ability to be self-aware, can we then say that our consciousness is equal in essence to that of the supreme God's consciousness that gave Him the ability to be self-aware? Yes. The reason why God's self-awareness gave birth to the universe is because God was aware of His supreme being. This also means that if we can achieve a level of self-awareness so great that we can become aware of our existence as actual pieces of a supreme God, then we too can perform the same omnipotent actions that a self-aware, omnipotent being can perform because supreme self-awareness is what grants supreme power as is evident in the course that God had taken to give birth to the universe.

We live in an environment made up of all different kinds of matter, all kinds of matter that are God's debris. God existed in a world made up of only Him. If God's consciousness could influence change within Himself, and if we possess that same consciousness, then we should be able to influence change within ourselves and our environment. Of course, this will take a level of awareness that few have ever reached.

How then can we achieve this greater level of consciousness and self-awareness? Do our brains have the capacity to accomplish this great feat? The only evidence we have to support the idea that it is possible to achieve such a great level of consciousness is by looking at the people in our history who may have shown signs of such an accomplishment.

One person who can hold an example of this is Jesus Christ. Jesus was able to perform miracles so astounding that they could not be ignored by History. Jesus was obviously aware that he could perform miracles. He knew that it was possible for his environment to be shifted and manipulated. Jesus understood that everything in existence, including his own consciousness, is remnants of God. He knew that his consciousness had influence over the environment just like God's consciousness had influence over His environment.

How can we reach a state of awareness that allows us to manipulate our environment using our consciousness? The answer to that can be found by seeking out those who have already reached that state of awareness. Jesus, I think, would be the best example since he has already proven himself to be a superior being in terms of self-awareness. Jesus obviously knows something that we don't.

I'm not saying that everything Jesus taught us is to be taken as a fact, and I'm not saying that Jesus ever lied. I'm saying that what Jesus knew to be true had allowed himself to reach the level of awareness that he had evidently reached. Does this mean that God the Father is somewhere in heaven looking down on us and making judgments? I wouldn't say that to be the absolute truth, but that is how Jesus interpreted truth to be. Take a look at the TV. If I asked you to describe it in one word, you might say, "square". If I asked Joe Smith to describe the very same TV in one word, he might say, "black" (assuming your TV is black). You are both telling the truth in describing the TV and neither of you are withholding any truths.

If it is so that fundamental Christianity is able to allow oneself to achieve a state of self-awareness to the caliber of Jesus' state of self-awareness. Then why should Jesus' doctrine be ignored?

If there is another way to achieve a great state of self-awareness, I will surely seek it out. Jesus was a great man of the universe, but I'm afraid that his doctrines are just a little too inconvenient for my lifestyle.
